The Old Shotgun

Marty has been wanting to do something with his dad's shotgun to display it. He was able to confiscate a door from his Grandma's old farm house. Then he added a hat, shirt, shotgun shells and box, and an old magazine add for the shotgun. He put this all together over the coarse of a couple weeks. Pretty artistic, huh?

April

April is just flying by! I haven't been taking any pictures lately and I forget that I can post without having pictures involved. So I thought I better at least do a little updating.

Mariah had cheerleading tryouts and she made JV cheerleader! We are so proud of her! She really worked hard and she looked great! She also has her driver's license now, so I hardly have to drive any more. It's great! She is a very good driver, too.

Brennan has been active in Track. Throwing discus and shot put. He's already looking forward to football starting.

Kelsey has her sights set on getting through finals and being home for the summer. She'll be getting home in the middle of May.

Today and next weekend Mariah has dance competitions, so I'll be getting some new pics to post.

Crazy kids!!

Playing in the Snow

Brennan and Mariah and Oakley and Cedar wanted to play in the snow. They were a little underdressed!

Kelsey's Spring Break

Kelsey got home on the 11th for Spring break. It was so great to have her home for a while! Most of the week was pretty uneventful. We just hung around the house and took it easy. Marty and I still had to work all week so Kelsey got some good R & R. Mariah did have a Cheerleading Competition in Nampa on the 18th, so Kelsey went with Marty and I to watch. We stopped in Boise to visit Marty's brother Stan and his family. The picture with Kelsey and the cute little girl is Willow, Stan's granddaughter.

Then we met Jim and Iran (Peace Corps friends of Marty's) for dinner. We had such a nice visit with them. Iran is holding their first granddaughter, Aubrey.

Then it was off to the competition. The Highland Cheerleaders placed 2nd!

We said good-bye to Kelsey Sunday morning. Only eight weeks and she's home for the summer again! Yeah!!

Home Videos

Most of you know I like to make videos out of pictures I've taken. Well, I've started uploading some of them onto the web so anyone can view them. Just click on this link and you can watch whatever you feel like. A couple of them are kinda long, I will be trying to keep future videos shorter. Keep checking back, I will be adding more all the time! Also, let me know what you think! (You may not be able to view the videos without a high speed internet connection. Sorry!)

Sweetheart Dance

Brennan and Mariah both had dates to the Sweetheart Dance. This was Mariah's first dance and date! They both went with groups of couples. They are getting too grown up!!

MARTY TURNS 50!!!

I can't believe I actually pulled off a surprise party for Marty's 50th birthday! We had a nice day of celebrating on the 7th. So nice, Marty thought that was it! Well, I had other plans. Friday night he thought we were meeting Pat and Wendy for dinner, and SURPRISE there were about 30 friends and family waiting to celebrate and wish Marty happy birthday! It turned out just wonderful! Thank you so much to everybody who made the effort to be there, you were all greatly appreciated!!

Yeah! The Jazz Won!

NBA Halftime

Last year Mariah's dance studio was in a competition sponsored by the Utah Jazz Dancers. The studio with the highest points won a chance to dance at a Utah Jazz halftime. So this was their opportunity. The Utah Jazz played the New Jersey Nets. It was pretty exciting just being at an NBA game, but of coarse the halftime entertainment was great!

The teams are warming up.

Snowball Dance

Brennan was asked to the Snowball dance by Sara. The couples always try to dress alike and make it a real casual fun dance.

Happy New Year!

New Year's 2006

We spent the New Year's holiday in Island Park. It snowed constant almost the whole five days! We played card games-poker, pinnocle, screw your neighbor-played Monopoly and built a jigsaw puzzle. We rode the snow machines and basically had a great relaxing time!
